The Alliance for American Manufacturing is thrilled to unveil the 12th edition of the Made in America Holiday Gift Guide, our annual collection of American-made gift ideas from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

This year, we’re exclusively featuring Made in America companies that have not been included in our previous Gift Guides, which is no small feat since our team of shopping experts has been at this since 2013! We uncovered both new-to-us heritage brands and ones that are just getting their start. We also purposely selected an eclectic mix of items at a variety of price points, so there’s something Made in America for everyone on your list! And, in a new segment, we’ve rounded up a list of local stores that specialize in goods made in their states.

Made in Nevada: Planet X Pottery and Song Dog Silver

Way out, at the foot of a mountain and on the edge of the desert in Northern Nevada, you’ll find John and Rachel Bogard’s Planet X Pottery, a “solar powered oasis” featuring four galleries and a working pottery studio. John has been studying and making pottery for decades, and Planet X’s output is truly unique and very Nevada. Enter the desert, and visit Planet X before you return.

The holiday season calls for gifts with heart and a sense of place, and Song Dog Silver delivers both. From a silver bench in Reno, each piece is handcrafted with locally mined Nevada turquoise and variscite, set in sterling silver and made entirely by Nevadans. Inspired by the open roads and rugged beauty of the Great Basin, these necklaces, rings and bolo ties capture the spirit of the West and make a meaningful way to share something truly special this season.
